The Red Bull team have been very discrete about their disappointment following Mercedes lightweight reprimand for illegal testing at Barcelona. Last week in Paris the Silver Arrows team received only a reprimand for unauthorised testing with Pirelli at Barcelona and were forced to sit out the young driver test that is to follow the Silverstone GP.
After the event Christian Horner chose not to criticise the judgement of the International Tribunal, but had expected Mercedes to be given a heavy fine or a points deduction.
In an off-the-record briefing a spokesman for the Red Bull team said that the least they expected was Ross Brawn being made to sit next to Helmut Marko on long-haul flights to future races.
And if possible with Sky’s Ted Kravitz on the other side.
