Many people have been speculating why Michael Schumacher has had so many mechanical problems this year. In seven races he has had five retirements. Schumi has suffered gearbox problems (Australia), a wheel not fitted correctly at a pitstop (China), DRS problems, (Bahrain), a fuel pressure failure (Monaco) and a total DRS failure (Canada).

Now F1 journalist (and “shed connoisseur” Time Out magazine, June 2012), Frank Hopkinson has pointed out that Michael has abandoned his practice of Feng Schumi that proved so successful during his Ferrari days.
